Career change and direction

Does this sound familiar?

  • I know something needs to change, but I cannot see what comes next.
  • I have lost touch with what I want and what I am good at.
  • I cannot see how my experience could transfer elsewhere.
  • I have drifted into my current position rather than deliberately choosing it.

How I can help

When you’ve been stuck for a while, it gets hard to separate what you actually want from fear, self-doubt and other people’s expectations.

One client described feeling as if she’d been put in a cupboard, until she realised she’d been putting herself in there. Coaching, she said, was like taking the blinkers off and adjusting to the light.

You don’t need to know the answer before we start. I’ll help you untangle what’s keeping you stuck, recognise the value in your experience and test out realistic possibilities. Together, we’ll turn that into practical next steps. Plenty of people come wanting one thing and end up pursuing something different.

What you’ll achieve

A deliberate next move

Make sense of your options before choosing what comes next.

"Jess took the time to understand my situation and helped me make a plan towards a role that suited me, even though I wasn’t sure what that role might be when we started."

Adam, from retail to co-founding a cricket bat business

What you bring, in your own words

Recognise the strengths and experience you’ve been overlooking, and how to talk about them.

"Jess helped me realise that I had a wide range of talents, honed over the years of running a household, and as a result, I am developing my own virtual PA business."

Lucy, from raising a family to running her own business

Ideas tested in the real world

Try out possibilities through conversations, research and small experiments before you commit.

"She has built my confidence to network which has led to exploring a range of possibilities and discovering what really interests me."

Oli, from logistics to a manager role in distribution
